I'm going to the ISTE 2013 Conference!
I'm excited about this opportunity to attend the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference in San Antonio, Texas! I registered for several workshops including Virtual Manipulatives for Teaching Algebra with iPads, Cole's Chromebook Craze!, Going Google: Save Resources and Maximize your Chances for Success and much more! My goal is to learn things I can come back to share with my school and class. I also hope to get a better sense of how teachers can implement the NETS standards for students without being overwhelmed with their normal class requirements. I will be back to share my experience via pictures and possibly videos. More to come...

Annette,
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible opportunity! I am quite jealous, and can't wait to read about what you have learned. I'm glad to see that such trainings are offered. When we don't see it happening at our schools at this pace, we feel like we're above the curb; but we might actually be behind it after all.
Thanks for sharing,
Jen
Annette,
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great opportunity! I don't know if I'm more jealous of you going to the conference, or going to San Antonio. I used to live there when I was younger, and it's so close to home for me--I miss Texas so much! I would love to hear about the experience with the Chromebook--I actually purchased one several weeks ago, but I ended up taking it back because it was too difficult to do what I wanted to do with it. Good luck in SA, and maybe you can post some of your experiences in this blog..?
